The game's developer, Minh Le, creator of Counter-Strike, has stated that Tactical Intervention was born out of a desire to create a more immersive and realistic experience than his earlier work. But in this case, it feels like he may have bitten off more than he can chew. The game's addition of dogs that can attack or 'sniff' enemies is a nice idea on paper, but in practice, it's just confusing and frustrating.

And don't even get me started on the game's multiplayer mode. It's bogged down by unnecessary features like rolling out of explosions (Press X) and waving at hostages (Press F). The actual shooting mechanics are slow and clunky, making it feel like you're fighting against a poorly tuned machine gun.

Overall, Tactical Intervention is a disappointing experience that fails to deliver on its promise of tactical intervention and strategic combat. With poor collision detection, wonky physics, and inconsistent aiming mechanics, it's hard to recommend this game to anyone but the most die-hard fans of the genre.

If you're looking for a good tactical shooter, I would suggest sticking with something like Counter-Strike or Battlefield. At least those games have the core gameplay elements down pat, even if they may not be as innovative or experimental as Tactical Intervention.
